I found steps 1-3 confusing but it worked after 3rd try!

This is what I did:
1. pressed power off (while plugged in),
2. then pressed simultaneously on/off and stop/reset and KEPT PRESSING ON/OFF (DON'T LET GO) as I released stop/reset and pressed stop/reset twice
3. then let go of on/off and light went green.
4. immediately pressed stop/reset 4 times because my code error was E8 (as per instructions at bottom).
Hope this helps!

See the following youtube video to see the pattern of button presses correctly performed if it is not clear enough in these instructions.

Please help me - all instruction in miscellaneous forums don´t work for my MP160 - even the one´s above.
My problem:
I cleaned my printer and reassembled him.
Now neither the scanner, nor the printer works. Error code 2 and 4 (I know, what they are), on/off blinks green, and the small orange light above B/C is blinking too. the wagon (?) where the ink-cartridges are in, don´t move left, when I open the scanner-unit.
But it moves when I press the on/off button, also it takes a sheet of paper into the printer, but not further.
So - if I follow the steps described, I only come to the point, where it should move into the service-mode - all I can reach is, that the green on/off blinks and the small orange one on the left side (like it always does), but no error codes or anything shown on the display - nothing more is possible BUT what I realized ist, that sometimes for a very short time only the on/off blinks (without the small orange one) and I tried pushing the stop/reset 4 times or more very fast or slow but nothing happend - and the orange one starts blinking like ever.
I cant buy a new one - I need this printer for my work - can anybody help me please!?
thx -D!-
